Greenfield Village is Henry Ford's creation (an enigma in that his visionary assembly-line production pushed American culture headlong into the industrial age, and yet he yearned for the “good ole days” of his youth in the late 1800's). Henry Ford's conundrum is our treat. Greenfield Village is where US History comes alive! There is also a tremendous assortment of activities for older students—to high school and beyond! Trace the life of Henry Ford from where he was born to a replica of the factory where he built his first automobile.Travel through 7 historic districts in Greenfield Village. Also view the chair Abraham Lincoln was sitting in when he was assassinated, the Rosa Parks bus, and much more! There is a lot to see so the best way to enjoy your trip is to break in up into 1 trip per venue, or add a 2nd venues in 1 one trip for half price. The venues include:

Macy's 2nd Mondays - (Students Pre - K) Second Monday of each Month (10am – noon) The Greatest Children’s Outing in History Introduce your preschool children to the wonders of The Henry Ford — all before nap time. Preschoolers rule during Macy’s 2nd Mondays at The Henry Ford. Storytelling, live entertainment and dozens of hands-on activities related to some of our most memorable artifacts — trains, dollhouses, historic games, even a ride on our amazing Herschell-Spillman carousel. There are seasonal activities, too: Santa in December, Valentine’s Day take-home artwork in February and 19th-century base ball in July (base ball was spelled as two words into the early 1900s). And it’s all free! Give your children’s minds the adventure of their young lives.
